We will be hosting a program in Idaho Falls about the thirty-seven Japanese American men who defied the Selective Service Act while incarcerated at Minidoka Relocation Center during World War II.

The first program is a Distinguished Lecture with Frank Abe and Eric Muller at the Museum of Idaho on September 11, 2024 at 6:30 pm.

Frank Abe is the author of the graphic novel ‘We Hereby Refuse’ and Eric Muller is the author of ‘Free to Die for Their Country, American Inquisition, and Lawyer, Jailer, Ally, Foe’.

The second program is a one-act multimedia stage production titled Nisei Paradox, which will take place at the ARTitorium on Broadway at 7pm on September 18, 2024.

Nisei Paradox, researched by former Idaho Chief Magistrate Ronald Bush and written by Boise attorney Jeffrey Thomson, offers a historic portrayal of the court proceedings and investigates the contradictions of civic duty and civil rights within a one-act multimedia production.
