City Club presents: Silicon Valley Bank Impacts: What Happened and What We Learned
The Silicon Valley Bank collapse has shined a new light on the banking and financial services industries. Bank of Idaho Chairman, President, and CEO Jeff Newgard will discuss what happened with SVB, what we learned from the situation, and the impacts on the economy, policy and regulation, the banking industry, and community banks.
April 28 at 12pm-1:30 at the Bennion Student Union Building at the Idaho Falls ISU campus, City Club will be hosting Jeff Newgard, Chairman, President and CEO of Bank of Idaho.
Jeff has held several leadership positions in regional and community banking since 1998, including the Executive Vice President and Eastern Region President of HomeStreet Bank and President and CEO of Yakima National Bank.
Jeff graduated from the Graduate School of Banking (Colorado) and holds a Master of Business Administration from Washington State University and a Bachelor of Arts from Walla Walla College.
Jeff volunteers on several boards with local, regional, and national organizations including as an Area 5 Committee Member for the Employer Support of the Guard & Reserve, the Board Chair for the War Bonnet Roundup Advisory Committee, and the Chair of the Independent Community Bankers of America Select Committee on Cybersecurity.
Jeff was named an Idaho Business Review 2020 Excellence in Finance Honoree as well as the Idaho Business Review’s CEO of Influence in 2021.
