Downtown Idaho Falls is preparing for another vibrant summer season as the Idaho Falls Downtown Development Corporation (IFDDC) officially launches their 2026 Downtown Beautification Program, with seasonal flower installations that began Tuesday, June 2.

Fueled by extraordinary community participation, this year’s beautification campaign has achieved record-breaking sponsorship support.

Through the generosity of local businesses, organizations, and residents, IFDDC and the Idaho Falls Historic Downtown Foundation secured approximately 120 hanging flower basket sponsorships, nearly 20 ground flowerpot sponsorships, and 120 winter holiday wreath sponsorships for the upcoming holiday season.

IFDDC is proud to serve as an America250 Ambassador, supporting the nationwide celebration of our country’s 250th anniversary by selecting red and white flowers to include in this year's floral display. Communities across the United States are coming together to honor our past, celebrate our present, and inspire the future—and downtown Idaho Falls is excited to be part of this historic moment.

Through this initiative, IFDDC is committed to showcasing downtown Idaho Falls as a vibrant place where history, community, and future possibilities come together.

Since its launch in 2015, the Downtown Beautification Program has become a signature feature of historic downtown Idaho Falls. Each spring, colorful hanging baskets and decorative flowerpots transform the Business Improvement District — stretching from Memorial Drive to Yellowstone Avenue and D Street to Cliff Street — into a welcoming and vibrant destination for residents and visitors alike.

During the winter months, coordinated holiday wreath displays continue the tradition by bringing seasonal warmth and charm to the district.

“The incredible response to this year’s sponsorship campaign reflects the pride our community has for the heart of our city,” said Kerry Hammon, Executive Director of IFDDC.

“Because of the overwhelming support from our partners and sponsors, nearly every block within the district will feature beautiful floral displays this spring, summer and fall. We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to making this possible.”

The program proudly continues its environmentally conscious growing practices through its partnership with Sheri Norlen, Owner of 4 Seasons Garden Design. Norlen and her team cultivate the flowers sustainably without chemical pesticides, utilizing eco-friendly systems and beneficial insects that help protect local pollinators and preserve the surrounding ecosystem.

“I just want you to know how much I love my late husband’s flower basket. It’s beautiful and will only get better over the summer. Thank you for making these available to sponsor, it really means a lot to me when I walk by and see it,” stated a 2026 sponsor in an email to IFDDC.

The success of the Downtown Beautification Program is made possible through the collaboration and dedication of numerous community partners.

IFDDC extends sincere appreciation to:

  • This season's program sponsors for their financial contributions supporting annual beautification efforts.
  • The City of Idaho Falls for continued municipal funding, partnership, and logistical support throughout the downtown district.
  • Volunteers and interns who dedicate countless hours preparing streetscapes, assisting with installations, and supporting downtown cleanup efforts.
  • The IFDDC staff and Board of Directors for coordinating the Downtown Beautification Program, to include outreach, sponsorships, and program logistics.
  • Local advertising and media partners for helping promote downtown initiatives and community engagement.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to take a stroll downtown to enjoy the seasonal floral displays, experience the enhanced streetscapes, and continue supporting downtown Idaho Falls businesses, restaurants, and attractions.
