Yellowstone Hwy | Broadway
Stroll through downtown and discover a unique outdoor gallery! The often-overlooked traffic cabinets along Yellowstone Highway and Broadway have been transformed into captivating canvases by local artists.
This innovative project was made possible through artwork from The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho's Permanent Collection, coordinated by the Idaho Falls Downtown Development Public Art Committee. Funding was generously provided by The CHC Foundation, with matching funds from the Idaho Falls Historic Downtown Foundation.
As the project continues to evolve, several of the original traffic cabinets have been replaced and now need new artwork. The Public Art Committee is seeking submissions from artists interested in having their original work featured on these cabinet wraps. Artists are encouraged to submit existing or new artwork for consideration. Currently, 6 of the 9 cabinets shown on the map require new wraps, but the call for submissions will remain open as the committee explores opportunities to expand this public art initiative.
