We're Hosting Two Easter Events this weekend! One for children, one for adults

Your IFDDC is excited to announce two of the community’s favorite spring events are happening on Saturday, April 4, 2026: the Find the Easter Bunny Kids’ Scavenger Hunt and the adult LK Realty Group Adult Egg Hunt and Bar Hop.

Both events are designed to bring families, friends, and the community together to celebrate spring while supporting downtown businesses.

Executive Director of IFDDC, Kerry Hammon, states, “Come to the events; stay for the shopping and fine dining.

  • B Street (Shoup Avenue west to Park Avenue) will be temporarily closed from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to keep guests safe.
  • The downtown businesses located on B Street have been notified of the block closure.
  • The B Street businesses that operate on Saturdays will remain open with sidewalk access.

Find the Easter Bunny Kids’ Scavenger Hunt

A beloved Idaho Falls tradition, the Find the Easter Bunny Scavenger Hunt, noon-3:00 p.m., invites kids and families to explore downtown Idaho Falls as they search for hidden bunnies inside participating downtown businesses. This event is free thanks to generous sponsors.

  • Families begin at Civitan Plaza at noon where they pick up a scavenger hunt map and capture a photo at the spring-themed bunny selfie station.
  • Participants will then explore downtown businesses listed on the map to find hidden bunnies.
  • The first 200 kids (ages 2-12) to complete the map and return to Civitan Plaza by 3:00 p.m. will receive guaranteed prizes. Additional prizes will be handed out until they are gone.
  • Families will enjoy a spring-themed bunny selfie station for the perfect Easter photo.

New features this year!

“Thanks to three new generous sponsors—Idaho Central Credit Union, Doug Andrus Distributing, and Outback Landscape—we were able to elevate our kids’ event by adding sweet treats, games and more giveaways and prizes. We also added a golden egg quest with higher-value prizes,” explains Hammon.

  • Every 30 minutes, from noon-3:00 p.m., a limited number of golden eggs will be hidden inside the same downtown businesses that have hidden bunnies.
  • Each special golden egg contains higher-value prizes, including gift cards to downtown merchants; experience passes from local cultural organizations, and sponsored items purchased from local retailers.
  • There is a total of 12 golden eggs hidden. Participating businesses with golden eggs will display a ‘Golden Egg Hidden Here’ sign at their main entrance.

LK Realty Group Adult Easter Egg Hunt and Bar Hop

After the kids have wrapped up their fun, the adults get their turn with an energetic evening of egg hunting and bar hopping throughout downtown.

The adult event begins at 7:00 p.m. sharp at Civitan Plaza (Park Avenue and B Street).

  • Participants must be 21 or older to participate in the adult event and will have their IDs checked when purchasing beverages inside downtown establishments.
  • Alcoholic beverages must be purchased and consumed inside the establishments.
  • Participants will receive an LK Realty goodie bag (limited supplies, first-come, first-serve).
  • The adult event requires guests to purchase tickets, located on IFDDC’s website at www.downtownidahofalls.com
  • Tickets are limited so purchase them soon!
  • Each $20 ticket grants access to an Easter badge that contains drink specials (valid April 4 only) at participating bars and restaurants.
  • All participants MUST pick up their badges from the IFDDC staff who will be located at Civitan Plaza between noon and 7:00 p.m. the day of the event. Badges will not be provided at bars or restaurants.

  • Once the badges are distributed and after the adult Easter egg hunt begins at 7:00 p.m., participants will work their way throughout downtown, collecting eggs, exploring bars, connecting with the community, and enjoying exclusive specials throughout the night. Golden eggs will be hidden at participating locations with premium prizes

All ticket sales contribute to the IFDDC’s mission to support all downtown businesses and keep the city’s core thriving and full of life while providing opportunities for meaningful connections.

“If we sell out of tickets for this bar hop, we’ll increase the number of available tickets for the next two bar crawls – Crawl-O-Ween on October 24 and the Bad Santa Pub Crawl on December 5,” adds Hammon.

IFDDC is a nonprofit—small but mighty, deeply committed, and fueled by the belief that downtown belongs to everyone. The Business Improvement District and parking operations keep the basics running and contribute to the beautification efforts. But the things that make downtown extraordinary— decorative lighting, arts & culture, clean-up efforts, and events like these—happen because our community invests in them. These enhancements preserve the district’s history while keeping it relevant, inviting, and vibrant for residents and visitors alike.

Those unable to attend the events are encouraged to support the IFDDC by donating to the organization or by inquiring about sponsorship opportunities.  Staff at IFDDC can be reached at info@downtownidahofalls or (208) 535-0399, Monday-Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Follow IFDDC on Facebook and Instagram.

With gratitude to IFDDC’s Easter event sponsors: LK Realty, Idaho Central Credit Union, Outback Landscape, Doug Andrus Distributing, Sandhill Media, and all participating downtown businesses. THANK YOU!
