Façade Grant Program
The Idaho Falls Downtown Development Corporation (IFDDC) is here to help downtown business and property owners beautify their buildings through our Facade Grant Program. This program offers vital funding for three types of facade improvements, helping to preserve and enhance the historic character of our downtown area.
This initiative is proudly supported by HUD Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, administered by the City of Idaho Falls. We work closely with the City's Grants Administration Office (208) 612-8323 to ensure design guidelines are met and applications are smoothly processed.
Grant Types Available
Sign Grant
Receive up to $1,000 for new signs or restoring existing ones. Applicants must provide an equal match. We encourage projecting signs to enhance visibility!
Awning & Canopy Grant
Secure up to $2,000 for the installation of new awnings or canopies. These funds also require an equal match from the applicant, with a preference for traditional materials like canvas.
Facade Improvements
Architectural and engineering services, historical research and documentation, permit fees, construction costs to repair and restore your building's unique character, improvements to community gathering centers.
