Are you ready??? May 2nd – ‘Idaho Gives’ event!! The Idaho Falls Historic Downtown Foundation invites you to participate in the first statewide day of giving, organized by the Idaho Nonprofit Center. ‘Idaho Gives’ will bring hundreds of nonprofit organizations together for 24 hours of unprecedented giving. It is one extraordinary day to donate to this wonderful organization that helps makes Idaho Falls so special! On May 2nd, Idahoans will come together for a day of giving to support the nonprofits in communities across our state. From midnight -11:59pm a share of every dollar raised by Idaho nonprofits will be matched with funds from the Idaho Gives award pool. In addition, the top five organizations with the most unique donors (nonprofits are divided by size) will receive bonus grants of $3,000, $1,000, $500, $250, and $250 respectively. Every donation, whether big or small, gives the Idaho Falls Historic Downtown Foundation the chance to win matching grants and prizes! It is so easy ~ just go online to http://idahogives.razoo.com/story/Idaho-Falls-Historic-Downtown-Foundation
All donations on May 2nd will support the Idaho Falls Historic Downtown Foundation efforts to combat community deterioration, educate the public about the history, architecture, and culture of our downtown area. Our efforts are to preserve the unique historic character of downtown. Our goal is to keep the downtown alive and vibrant. We encourage residents and visitors to appreciate and enjoy the downtown – it is the heart and soul of our community. We are continually involved in outstanding projects such as the hanging flower baskets, ‘Art You Can Sit On’ benches that are found throughout the downtown and on the greenbelt, organizing volunteers to plant flowers in the planters, support the Japanese Friendship Garden, the annual ‘Christmas on the River’ event, the Allan Butler Memorial Twilight Criterium cycling races, plaques for historic buildings that are on the National Register of Historic Places, and many other downtown activities. PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND DONATE ANY AMOUNT!

Summer is coming and it is time to get our downtown hanging flower baskets ordered!

We would like to ask you to be a sponsor of one or more of these gorgeous baskets that helps make our downtown so inviting. (see attachment) We have 76 light poles that we can put baskets on throughout the downtown, plus added this year 42 new light poles on Memorial. We are all very excited to include this newly renovated area in our beautification project.

The cost this year is $85 per basket. This includes the sign that will hang by your basket saying you are the sponsor. You can have your business name put on, your family name or donate a basket as a ‘gift’ and have their name placed on the sign.

If we can count on you to be a sponsor, please email me ASAP. We appreciate your support of this project! Help us spread the word and tell your friends that might be interested!

email me at: info@downtownidahofalls.com

The word “Forgeron” also has a slightly different meaning in French, referring to artisans who build with their hands combining experience with an extensive knowledge of their trade. This is the vision that Marie-Eve Gilla, part-owner and winemaker brings, crafting complex, food-friendly wines from vineyards chosen for maturity and flavor profile.
