‘Maker Faire’ in front of the Museum of Idaho on Eastern Avenue
September 15 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
What is Maker Faire? Maker Faire is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, Maker Faire is a venue for these “makers” to show hobbies, experiments, projects. We call it the Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth – a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness. Glimpse the future and get inspired! East Idaho’s first-ever Maker Faire is a showcase of invention and creativity and a celebration of the Maker movement. This family-friendly event is free to the public. http://idahofalls.makerfaire.com/
A Maker can be anyone, regardless of age, who creates something all their own. They could be tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, authors, artists, students, commercial exhibitors, or the like. At the Faire, these Makers come together to demonstrate their innovations and inspire creativity and curiosity among visitors young and old.
There is still room for additional makers (engineers, inventors, tinkerers, crafters, etc.) to set up a booth for free and show off the cool stuff they’ve made. Apply on the “Call for Makers” on the event website: http://idahofalls.makerfaire.com.
